Tinnitus Explained

Privacy Policy

Updated Sep 24, 2026

Tinnitus Explained does not sell your data and does not require an account. This page describes what is collected, by whom, and how to ask for it to be deleted.

Who runs this site

This site is operated as Tinnitus Explained. For any privacy request, write to contact@tinnitusexplained.com.

What is collected

Server logs. The hosting provider records standard web server information for every visit: IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. This is ordinary hosting operation and is used for security and troubleshooting.

Messages you send. If you email the address above, that email and its contents are retained so the conversation can be answered.

No account, no newsletter signup, no comments. Comments are disabled site-wide, so there is no comment data to store.

Service providers

  • Hostinger, hosting. Processes server logs as described above.
  • Google Ads, some traffic to this site arrives through paid advertising. When it does, Google may set cookies related to that ad click, governed by Google’s own privacy policy.
  • Affiliate networks, clicking an affiliate link passes you to a merchant or network that sets its own tracking cookie to attribute the sale. That cookie is set by them, on their domain, under their policy.

This site does not currently run its own analytics platform. If that changes, this page will be updated before the tool is installed.

Cookies

Tinnitus Explained itself sets no tracking cookies. WordPress may set functional cookies if you log in to administer the site, which does not apply to readers. Cookies you may encounter here come from the third parties listed above.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal data held about you, its correction, or its deletion, and to object to processing. Because this site collects so little, essentially server logs and any email you choose to send, such requests are usually simple to fulfil. Write to contact@tinnitusexplained.com.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the updated date shown at the top of this page.
