Some pages on this site contain affiliate links. If you buy through one, Tinnitus Explained may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Pages with affiliate links say so at the top, before you read them.
The arrangement, plainly
An affiliate link is a tracked link. If you click it and buy something, the merchant pays this site a percentage of the sale. You pay the same price you would have paid arriving any other way, the commission comes out of the merchant’s margin, not your pocket.
This is how the site funds itself. There is no paywall, no newsletter upsell, and no sponsored-post arrangement where a brand pays for coverage.
What it does not change
- Which products get covered. Products are chosen because readers are asking about them, not because a program pays well.
- What is said about them. Criticisms stay in, including the ones that cost sales.
How you can tell
Any page carrying affiliate links states it in the disclosure box at the top, above the article. Affiliate links themselves are marked rel="sponsored nofollow" in the page’s code, which is both a Google requirement and a signal you can verify yourself.
Most pages on this site carry no affiliate links at all, and those say so too.
Program participation
Where Tinnitus Explained participates in an affiliate program that requires specific wording, that wording appears here. As of now, the site works with independent affiliate networks for supplement and hearing-related products. Program participation will be listed on this page as it changes.
